About Our Program

In order to bring the words "reduce, reuse, recycle" into our students lives, our team mission is to create a Garden Education Program at our school. In a world full of amazing technology, television, and video games, we are determined to bring our students "back to basics". We have a team full of dedicated teachers, parents, and community members who realize the importance of caring for and sustaining the Earth. Our first task is to design and build a Memorial Butterfly Garden in memory of a teacher who dedicated her whole life to her students. Our Memorial Garden will be a peaceful way to remember a teacher and her love of creatures, while giving our students a relaxing place to study and write. We have chosen this type of Garden as our first project because it can be easily incorporated into the science curriculums at every grade level.
