Our goal is to provide a hands-on learning experience for our students. Teachers and staff are encouraged to take responsibility for a piece of the garden and grow plants and/or vegetables with students.
Last school year, one fifth grade class began to transform half of the garden in to an interactive area with garden games to inform classmates of the importance of maintaining this garden.
Our 2nd grade classroom planted vegetables in the other half of the garden.
The challenges we face is the damage and theft of the plants and vegetables that are located in the garden.
