Have several discussions about financial expectations and goals and how your team will plan to meet them.
- How will your school/youth organization define your garden education program? As an extra curricula? Within the curriculum? After-school program? Other?
- Where will your garden education program be found in your school/youth organization budget? As a stand alone budget? A line item in the budget? Other?
- Where do dollars for extra curricula programs at your school/organization currently derive?
- What garden elements, structures, products or services do you anticipate you will most need ASAP to run a successful garden education program for this or the coming year?
- How much will it cost to acquire them?
- What do you believe might be a realistic overall budget for your garden education program this coming year?
- How much funding do you think you can raise in the next six months (e.g.)?
- From what sources do you anticipate you will be able to raise funds for your garden program this year?
- Who will be in charge of your fundraising efforts?
