Connect Your Garden to the Community

And get everyone involved

The Children's Garden Network is about community - building common ground and connecting people and places together in a common effort.

An important part of Campaign 2010 is to engage the many people and organizations that can bring a healthy community spirit to your garden education program, including:

  1. Garden, plant and flower clubs and organizations
  2. Land trusts, Environmental and Conservation groups
  3. Scouts
  4. Seniors & Senior Centers
  5. 4-H Clubs
  6. FFA programs
  7. Boys and Girls clubs
  8. Church groups
  9. Colleges & Universities
  10. Hospitals and Health Care Facilities

Community Building Tips

  • Invite members of your community from many different groups and organizations to participate in your garden education program's activities and events.
  • Ask them to consider holding a fundraising event for your program.
  • Invite them to build a companion children's garden at their location.

    Get Involved.
