2007 CGN Grant & Service Award Winners

This year, the Children's Garden Network Campaign 2010 awarded seven Grant and five Service Awards to assist these schools and youth organizations to start or expand model garden education programs.

  2. Cumberland Office of Children, Youth & Learning - Cumberland
  3. Robert F. Kennedy Elementary School - Providence
  4. Martin Luther King Elementary School - Providence
  5. Ponaganset Middle School – N. Scituate
  6. Pilgrim High School - Warwick
  7. Reynolds Arts Magnet School – Bristol
  8. St. Mary's Home for Children – N. Providence

  9. Service Award Winners
  10. Chariho Middle School/Kids Grow Garden – Wood River Junction
  11. Exeter W. Greenwich FFA/Ag Science Program – W. Greenwich
  12. International Charter School - Pawtucket
  13. Captain Isaac Paine Elementary School - Foster
  14. Potter Burns Elementary School - Pawtucket

Each of these award winning locations is assembling a garden team, conducting additonal resource and fundraising, participating in training programs, conducting business on behalf of their garden programs, developing a long-term strategy for sustainability, and will work to "pay it forward" in sharing their experiences, knowledge and support for other schools and youth organizations in Rhode Island.
